Seed Packs of Powerful Plants

Powerful Plants is responsible for manufacturing packets of seed that kids can plant their own vegetables in their backyard. Each packet’s cover has some augmented reality character based on the seed. This character comes to life when scanned with the AR app. This is what happens when the packs are scanned with the app:

  • The characters come to life
  • Animation starts playing on the pack
  • Kids can learn more about planting
  • They learn about healthy eating

Different Categories of Packs

There are different categories of seed packs that have augmented reality integrated in them. They include:

  • Peas and beans
  • Leafy greens
  • Squash and pumpkin
  • Root crops
  • Flowers and herbs
  • Tomatoes, eggplants and peppers
  • Brassicas- Cabbage, Broccoli and more
  • Corn, cucumbers and melons

Interactive Books

Powerful Plants books are also interactive. Apart from encouraging healthy eating, the company encourages kids to take up reading with interactive books. Once a kid has read first half of each chapter and answered three questions, then each of the characters in the book come to life on each page, when scanned with the companion app.

Powerful Plants has teamed up with Edutainment Systems to provide augmented reality to the books and seed packets. The app was displayed at the Toy Fair 2015.
