Sportsgirl Updates its AR App & Launches Digital Windows

Australian fashion retailer ‘Sportsgirl’ is introducing another new innovative platform for providing a next generation shopping experience to the customers in the form of ‘digital windows’. These shop front windows will offer its customers a point of contact for omni-channel shopping. Apart from this, the fashion retailer is also updating its augmented reality app which is known as the Sportsgirl Explore. The app works in conjunction with its magazine to provide users with an immersive experience.

The augmented reality app of Sportsgirl which has been created by the IE Agency, is being updated to provide more interactivity for the users of the app. To use the app, you need to have its quarterly magazine, The Daily Us. Open the app and point your phone’s camera where you find the relevant logo. You will be able to watch videos, download free music, have life-like interaction with products, shop from pages of the magazine and find beauty tutorials, all with the use of this Sportsgirl Explore AR app.

Consistent Shopping Experience with Digital Windows

The introduction of the digital windows have coincided with the launch of Sportsgirl’s quarterly magazine, known as The Daily Us and the update of its augmented reality app. The app, along with the magazine and the digital windows will provide a consistent shopping experience to the consumers like never before.

The pages of the magazines can also be brought to life on these digital windows, thereby integrating the online business of Sportsgirl with physical stores. This offers an ultimate customer experience to the shoppers. Throughout Australia, nine digital windows will be set up in different stores which include Rundle Mall, Bondi, Booragoon, Melbourne Central, Chapel St., Robina, Doncaster, Highpoint and George St. In eight windows three separate films will be displayed by using projectors, whereas in the Sportsgirl Chapel St. store, a large scale full window block out film will be displayed using a singular projector.

The films which are to be displayed in the digital windows have been created by The Joy Collective for the Sportsgirl’s 25/7 – Style Never Sleeps Campaign. The windows are already being rolled out and people will be able to view them for four weeks.
