Coloring gives kids the scope to create artworks using their imagination. However, nowadays kids are mostly attracted to digital objects such as tablets, smartphones or laptops. It is difficult to keep their attention fixed on regular coloring books. But with Crayonpang, the way of coloring will be reinvented. By fusing augmented reality technology with standard coloring books, Crayonpang provides the right mixture of technology and convention. The team at Crayonpang hopes that the characters in the coloring book will become cooler than imagined by the kids.
Augmented Reality in Action
The coloring book has images of different characters which become animated and kids can see them moving. This is possible through augmented reality technology. Each of the character has animation which matches with their nature, when touched. The best thing is that the colored images can be seen in the background in the original 2D even as the character animates.
The animation will be accompanied with sounds and visual effects. At present there are 40 characters in the library of Crayonpang and in the near future, there will be more monster characters, a high-quality transforming robot and cars.
