Children’s entertainment is changing with the development of new technologies. In this technology-driven culture it is necessary for the parents to provide their kids with something different to draw their attention. Pacha’s Pajamas, a nature-themed children’s pop musical, will add to the fun element. They have come up with interactive pajamas, which is considered to be the world’s first and they have named it as Pachamas. This dream-wear line consists of a prized story book along with an augmented reality app. Currently, the project is running a crowdsourcing campaign in Kickstarter.
Pacha’s Pajamas is the story of a nine year old Latin-American girl named Pacha who makes her dream come true, the dream that she sees after wearing the magical pajamas. The pop musical showcases 70 artists.
World’s First interactive Pajamas
Pachamas are made of organic cotton and comes to life when a mobile device is positioned over the characters that are there on the pajamas and scanned using the AR app. Educational stories and videos that are hidden, come to life with augmented reality.
Pacha’s latest webisode is displayed with the AR app. The app also works with the soundtrack, the accompanying book and the Youth Leader card game featuring Pacha. Self-esteem, self-discovery and empathy is promoted through the story and the app. Kids can learn about the environment and reconnect to nature in an interactive way with Pachamas. The pajamas are available in different sizes which include infant, child and adult. The price ranges from $30 to $50.
Right now the project is running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds. The project will last till 13th December, 2014 with 29 days to go. The total funding goal is $25,000. At the time of writing, $838 has been raised with 13 backers. The maximum pledge can be $10,000 or more. If you pledge this amount you will receive a professional song, jingle or a theme song which will be created by Dr. Dre, Andre Johnson, having 35 years of recording experience.
Kids will be able to explore Pacha’s world with each interaction with the book and the pajamas. One of the main messages of Pacha is that everybody is connected.
