Cymplifi Inc, a startup based in California released its first fashion augmented reality app which will work for numerous brands and users can shop try out clothes through their smartphones, without the need of going into fitting rooms.  It is a personalized fashion app that not only allows the customers to try on their clothes virtually but also share images of the items they want to buy with their friends. From the feedback they receive from their friend, they can make their purchase through mobile devices or from online.

How does the App Work?

The augmented reality or virtual reality features of the app help the users to see how a new dress might look on them. With the geo fencing feature of the app, it personalizes the users’ favorite brands, in every location they travel to.  Users of the fashion app get to know about latest fashion trends based on their choices, curated content which are delivered on the basis of the users’ social sharing, and personalized deals.

Some of the important features of the present version of the app are listed as below:

Currently the first version of the AR fashion app is available for iPhone and iPad and it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. The web versions and the app for Android will be available in a couple of months.

The fashion app can be viewed for many big fashion brands. Some of which include Rachel Comey, Burberry, Nordstrom, Tory Burch, et al.

For consumer version, it is available for free, whereas for enterprise version, it is a licensed one.

Another Product

The company is also getting ready for the launch of a 3D product which will digitize the technology of virtual fitting through mobile devices for different body shapes. According to Prasad Rangappa, the Founder & CEO of Cymplifi Inc, the product will make an impact on a rapidly growing apparel e-commerce market worth $60B.

Consumers will find shopping to be easier than before with this AR app, as they won’t have to face the hassles of going to the fitting rooms to try out every outfit.
