Every big company has annual tech events which brings together developers from different parts of the world to showcase their innovations. Google has I/O, Apple has Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Facebook has F8, Microsoft has Build and now Oculus has Connect. Oculus VR has announced the dates of its second developer conference, Oculus Connect 2. The annual conference is for anyone who is interested in making accessories for the VR platform which either uses goggles compatible with smartphones or uses specialized PCs, so that users can be immersed fully in a simulated world.
Who Can Benefit from Connect 2?
Anyone who is passionate about virtual reality and has an interest in developing virtual reality content can benefit from Connect 2. So, VR developers, entertainment, cinematic and gaming content creators, creative thinkers, innovators, VR enthusiasts and others will be benefited with Connect 2.
On Wednesday, Oculus VR sent invitations to the press for the second annual event of the company. The event will start from 23rd September, Wednesday and will continue till 25th September, Friday. It will be held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, California.
What will The Four-Day Conference Provide Attendees?
In the first day, registration will be followed by sessions and workshops and welcome reception. There will also be Oculus lounge and Developer lounge for all the three days of the event. The second day will have keynotes and panels and Connect 2 party. Sessions and workshops will also be there for the rest of the days.
A trio of keynote addresses is expected on 24th September from Chief Scientist Michael Abrash, CTO John Carmack and CEO Brendan Iribe. All the keynotes will be live-streamed. The company has said that it will focus on new content and will make quite some announcements during Connect 2.
Those who attend the event will be able to learn about the latest developments in the field of VR. Developers can share and receive insight from other Oculus developers who are dealing with the same challenges. They will also be able to take part in design and engineering workshops with the Oculus engineering team and other attendees.
