Games for Oculus Rift

We have listed out three games for Oculus Rift:

  • Alien: Isolation

The demo of the game begins with the player in a ship, without any weapons and trying to escape from a xenomorph who lurks in the area. The body of the vehicle shakes from time to time, while light flashes in and out. With motion tracker, users can find out if the alien is near. When players turn around, the xenomorph will be visible and players can literally feel the jitters of having an alien pounce on them.

  • EVE Valkyrie

The awesomeness of a VR game can be proved from this game, developed by EVE Online. To play the game, players have to sit inside the spacecraft and take part in aerial battles by using guided missiles and machine guns. To dodge the approaching attacks, players perform rolls and sharp turns. The visual effects are awesome, with glass cracking and spark flying around, as the ship gets damaged.

  • Superhot

This game is a shooter game where with the movement of the player, the time moves. The demo requires players to shoot down three enemies by grabbing a gun in the middle of the room. Players can freeze time by stopping their movements or move left or right to avoid the bullets, when shots are fired.

Games for Project Morpheus

We are providing two VR games for Project Morpheus:

  • The Deep

With this game, players will feel like they are in a cage and have gone underwater to explore the place. However, the expedition is broken as a giant shark starts its attacks. This is another scary game where users will experience the fear when they watch the shark breaking the front of the cage and preparing to attack.

  • Morpheus Castle

A VR headset is combined with two PlayStation Move controllers, which represent the player’s right and left hand. The players can make a fist by pulling the trigger on the controllers. The goal of the game is to beat up a dragon using their hands or a weapon. One mistake by the player and the game ends with the dragon eating the player up.

Among the games for Oculus and Project Morpheus, the former has a bit of an edge over the latter as the games feel more consistent and polished. Project Morpheus still appears to be in the development phase.
