The future of wearable technology couldn’t look better. New wearable devices are being developed every now and then, each wanting to outdo the other. While people have lost their interest in Google Glass, they are still looking forward to new innovations. If you are one of them who want to keep themselves updated about new wearable entrants in the market, you should learn about Cicret Bracelet.
The Cicret Bracelet is waterproof and will provide you with lots of functionalities. With this device, your skin will act as a tablet and you can do everything that you do with a tablet. You won’t need to connect it with any smartphone for it to function. Your skin will become a touchscreen as you flick through it to get what you need.
You will be able to do a whole lot of things with this device. Right from reading your mails to finding your way in a new location; there are a lot of possibilities. Apart from reading mails, you can also reply to them. If you want to catch up with the news, you can do so with a flick of your finger. If you are bored, you can play your favorite games. You will also be able to see videos and check the weather. What’s even better, you don’t have to get up to collect your phone to answer your calls. You can do so right from your arm.
How Does it Work?
There is a picoprojector in the bracelet, which overlays the touchscreen interface on your arm as you give your wrist a little jerk. There are also 8 long range proximity sensors. As you use your finger on the interface, one of these sensors is stopped. This sensor then sends back the information to the processor placed inside the Cicret Bracelet and you can do the necessary function properly.
The Bracelet is available in two sizes, 16 GB and 32 GB. You can choose from ten different colors.
To complete the first prototype of this versatile wearable device, funding is required. The funding goal is 700,000 euros. As of now, only 16 percent of the funding is complete.
So, if you want to see the completion of this wonderful project, you can make your own contributions. You just need to head on to their website and fill out a quick form.
Are you keen on using this wearable device when it is finally available? Will you be contributing for the funding? We would love to hear from you.
